Jean-Yves Dewavrin, NGS PhD year 1
Jean-Yves graduated with a Master of Engineering from the ESIL School of Advanced Studies in Engineering Technology in 2009 (Marseilles, France). He has been working in various domains of Biotechnology, ranging from the development of a protein microarray for the analysis of glycosylation patterns (ESIL-Millipore 2009) to the in vivo activation of COS-7 EGFR via experimental holographic optical tweezers (CIML Labs France 2008). In the year 2009, Jean-Yves joined the team of Dr. Michael Vellard within BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc, USA, to genetically engineer, produce (procaryotic expression systems) and purify compounds targeting growth diseases. Finally, Jean-Yves joined TML in 2010 as a NGS PhD student. He is focusing on the emulation of crowded environments in hydrogels as well as the differentiation of blood-isolated progenitors into astrocytes. |
