Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Life Sciences in 2008, at the National University of Singapore. During her undergraduate studies, she has been working on the association between respiratory viral infections and acute asthma exacerbation within A/P Chew Fool Tim’s team. She also joined the Department of Pharmacology of NUS to study the attenuation by EGCG of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyocyte injury in excitation-contraction.

Michelle finally joined TML as a NGS PhD student in 2010, developing a cell culture platform using hbmMSCs under crowded environments to study adipogenic differentiation and metabolic diseases.
